Our Story
Doing Safaris in East Africa and getting great enjoyment out of sharing their love and passion for the continent it’s people, wildlife, and the far flung secluded places were discovered of such intense natural beauty and importance. Whilst sitting around a campfire gin and tonic in hand, roasting a leg of lamb on a smoky fire, a ring of cowardly hyena hanging around just out of the fire’s light, hoping for some tit-bits. We reminisce the amazing day of game viewing and adventure we were toasting good night. An idea was born...

An idea was born.
What if we created a small but exclusive group of lodges and camps that would be so special that our clients would arrive as guests, but leave as friends. Places so unique that they are more about an incredible experience than pretentious luxury. Places that would look after the communities and the wildlife we have come to love.
And thus, the journey began complete with all the trials and tribulations that Africa could throw at us, we persevered complete with a sense of humour, an unrelenting passion and a gin and tonic in hand!!
Eighteen years later, we look back with pride and satisfaction. We have built some incredible places and the environment, the communities and the wildlife are much better off for it. We have provided hundreds of guests / friends with life-changing experiences and we continue to grow from strength to strength.
Our love for our continent and the passion to share it with others has not changed. Onwards and upwards as they say… "Mario pass me a G&T!“
Our Philosophy
We allow ourselves to think a little differently to others. Our entire philosophy is to make it all one big happy family. Happy guests, happy agents, happy communities, happy wildlife and happy staff.
We aim to give our guests a unique but wonderful experience of Africa, off the well beaten tracks and yet all the creature comforts, to make that special adventure for those who dare to not follow the crowds.
And.. to do all this all while protecting and improving the environment, the lives of our communities and our flora and fauna...

And… Ethics remains at the fore-front of everything we do, from dealings with our partners in our industry, our clients and guests, but also with our suppliers and products in the supply chain.
Financial stability remains a crucial tool in the philosophy and sustainability of the project. The entire group remains debt free, no bank loans, no money owed to suppliers and all capex planned budgeted and paid cash.
A clear philosophy of “roll up your sleeves and get the job done, rather than writing another book on the subject” has made it possible for us to achieve what was doubted.
